Your cooling system must keep up with your project demands, harsh working conditions and long days. The Bobcat® cooling system features a quiet fan, efficient design and protected components.
Bobcat loaders have a patented cooling system that draws cool, clean air from above the engine and forces it out two side vents. This design keeps hot air away from the operator, cools more efficiently, and keeps engine components cleaner. Other systems usually pull dirty air over the top of the tires or from the rear of the loader.
Developed for dusty and light-material applications, the optional reversing fan gives you the ability to keep the radiator area cleaner for longer.
In auto or manual mode, the system will reverse and remove dust and debris from the rear screen. It extends productivity and uptime by reducing the immediate need to clean debris by hand.
Activate the system by using a rocker switch on the control panel inside the cab. You can choose between off, auto, and manual modes.
Some manufacturers still place radiators immediately inside the tailgate where the cooling package can be damaged by rebar, sticks or other items that can poke through the tailgate ventilation holes. The Bobcat radiator and hydraulic oil cooler are well protected between the frame uprights, above the engine. This also leaves the rear of the engine freely accessible for daily maintenance checks.
There’s a huge difference between published specs and real-world testing. Bobcat Advantage® puts the industry’s top compact equipment brands in tough challenges to show you the differences. Objective tests and competitive comparisons measure up Bobcat, Kubota®, Caterpillar®, Case®, and New Holland® loaders.
You’re probably not thinking about your loader’s cooling system when it’s working. However, it directly impacts engine life. A cooler, cleaner machine lasts longer. Bobcat loaders use a patented design that intelligently directs clean air through your engine. However, not every manufacturer designs cooling systems the same way. Kubota, Caterpillar and Case, New Holland loaders allow dirty, dusty air to enter the engine compartment. Watch the test to see for yourself.
